Sumeet Surana
Entrepreneur - Ed-tech Startups and Health-Tech initiativeSumeet is a 2x entrepreneur and loves to solve hard problems through tech. He started his startup journey with GCF, an edtech venture to solve the problems of students preparing for competitive exams in India through personalized analytics and content. At GCF, he joined as the first employee and worked across functions to scale the company from 0 to 100,000 paid customers, eventually leading to an exit. Post his MBA at INSEAD, he started his own cross-border ed-tech venture across UK and India, called Tutorline, to solve two problems: high private tutor cost in UK, and low scalability for Indian tutors. Along with this, he started a mental health-tech initiative to help people dealing with mental stress. However, the timing wasn’t with them and Covid hit hard, leading to business closure and, due to lack of funds, the closure of the mental-health platform too.
