Moyez Kassam

Moyez has developed his professional career by having grown through the ranks with extensive hands-on, international experience within all core business functions related to technology and human capital within the financial, IT, telecoms, energy, and manufacturing industries. Moyez has helped organizations to transform and improve performance through his visionary leadership, integrity, innovation, business acumen and effective communication skills to motivate people at all levels of the organization. He is highly motivated by challenges that involve transformational-change to enable positive-impact to individuals, organizations, and communities as a whole. Moyez has a pragmatic and collaborative approach to developing solutions for complex and challenging problems. Moyez started his career in the IT industry in the ’70s where he completed his formal education and worked for one of the largest banks in Canada. In the early ’80s, he consulted for Saudi Aramco to support the implementation of large-scale storage supercomputing systems for Oil and Gas exploration. Moyez later joined IBM as an Advisory Systems Engineer based in Saudi Arabia where, he became the country specialist and lead architect for large-systems, supercomputing, and data storage systems. As an entrepreneur, Moyez founded, managed and developed successful business ventures that focused on document management, human capital management and large-scale wireless telecommunications. Moyez was the founder of 21st Century Skills, a pioneer in introducing technology-assisted learning, competency-management, mobile satellite communications to the Arabian Gulf regions. He also co-founded two Satellite-based telecommunications ventures, one of which, has evolved into a highly successful nation-wide telecommunications operator. Moyez is actively involved with mentoring and inspiring Bahraini entrepreneurs with starting and developing their businesses. Moyez was one of the mentors in the Mashroo3i (4) program as well as the Mowgli mentoring program in 2016 sponsored by Tamkeen. Moyez has worked with and provided consulting for very large regional and international companies in Canada, South America and GCC regions such as IBM, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Qatargas, Saudi Electricity Company and American Express.
