Daniel Kihanya
Head of Marketing & Strategy - WizelyDan Kihanya is the head of marketing and strategy for Wizely, an Indian fintech he helped to found in 2017. He is also the founder and host of Founders Unfound, a podcast that profiles tech startup founders from underrepresented backgrounds. Dan is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience across many aspects of the start-up ecosystem - including the founder, early executive, investor, and advisor. He advises and coaches new ventures as a mentor with programs like Techstars, WeWork Labs, and Berkeley Launch. Previously, Dan was the founding Managing Director of Impact Hub Bellevue, a coworking space for startups in the Seattle area. Prior to this, Dan was VP Consumer Marketing for Cellfire, a pioneer in mobile and digital coupons that was acquired by Catalina Marketing in 2014. Dan was a principal in the services company LSC, where he helped develop India’s first coalition loyalty program, i-mint – now owned by America Express as PAYBACK India. Dan started his entrepreneurial career as co-founder of My-Points.com, Inc., a leading provider of Internet direct marketing and consumer rewards which he helped lead to IPO in 1999. Dan holds an MBA from the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where he was a Kauffman and Consortium Fellow. He also holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University.
