Isa Mubarak

Isa Mubarak is currently the "Communications Manager" at the Economic Development Board (EDB) – Bahrain. He has been in this position for the last three years, during which he has to lead the communications team amidst some of the most important and sensitive initiatives of the EDB to reform the Kingdom's economy. Isa was also – on the same time – responsible for the marketing activities during the first year of his employment with the EDB. During his employment with the EDB, Isa was involved in meetings with the World Bank, IMF, MENA-OECD, and others. While Bahrain was negotiating to sign the FTA agreement with the United States, Isa was leading the communications team to plan and manage many workshops in Bahrain to gain support for the talks. The EDB also held many meetings and conferences in the aftermath to increase awareness of the SMEs to maximize their benefits from the pact. The Education Reforms, another major project by the EDB, required the media team to do a lot of communications work, as it was a very important initiative for the current and future generations of Bahrain. Before joining the EDB, Isa was a business and political correspondent with Reuters, the international news agency for 10 years, during which he worked in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar.
