As a Head of Ibtikar Commercial Khalid is responsible for developing commercial business model to exploit content facilitated by ibtikar through both development fund initiatives and creative lab projects. Khalid also manages the distribution of this content and determines the strategy in line with specific project goals. In this role Khalid advises on creative treatments and budget levels in relation to market demands and manages film festival circuit and relationships with agent’s broadcaster’s and producers.
Prior to this, Khalid held a Business Development Manager role, during which he was responsible for managing the process of evaluating partners with internal stakeholders and managed the relationships with partners to understand their needs and enable business and creative synergies to be realized.
Khalid joined twofour54 in 2008 in its startup phase, as a Talent and Development Manage. He managed the process of recruiting and was also responsible to ensure that the recruiting strategy, methodology and processes aligned with the company’s policies.
Prior to joining twofour54, Khalid held positions in HR at Dolphin Energy Limited, in which he was in charge of taking role enunciation, job easements and recruiting for the Abu Dhabi and Qatar office.
Khalid graduated in 2004 from Suffolk University in Boston with a B.S in Business Administration majoring in Marketing. In 2010 he completed a program in Post Graduate Masters in Audiovisual Management from Media Business School in Ronda, Spain.
