Dr. Constance Van Horne is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Coordinator of Internships and Alumni in the College of Business at Zayed University. She was the project lead of the most recent Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Report from the United Arab Emirates and was a co-author on the first book published on Emirati entrepreneurship.
She has published peer reviewed articles, chapters and conference presentations with her students and alumni on Emirati entrepreneurship, Emirati leadership, innovation processes in the UAE and Emiratisation. Her research has been cited in many publications in the UAE and internationally.
Dr. Connie is a passionate teacher and makes it a point to incorporate heritage and Abu Dhabi Plan 2030 into every course she teaches, whether it be Strategy, Capstone Research or Innovation. This has led her to fieldtrips in all seven Emirates and visits to the mountains of Fujairah to discover the strategy of the Emirati craft honey industry, to learning about camel farming, Arabian horse farming, organic produce farming and many more.
You can read about her action-learning adventures with her students and research on her blog www.uaestrategy.blogspot.ae.
